Berwick Barracks

Aerial view of Berwick Barracks with historic buildings and rooftops in a coastal area - English Heritage

Client: English Heritage

Appointment: Building Regulations Principal Designer

English Heritage appointed MoxonCole for a large regeneration project at Berwick Barracks. The project involves conservation works to the Grade I Listed barracks buildings (the first purpose-built army barracks in England), new build elements, and the creation of new museum and community use spaces.

Interesting challenges that MC overcame??

National Project Manager

"MoxonCole have brought clarity to the role, with processes in place to lead both client and design team through the requirements of the new legislation in an approachable and professional manner. With everyone still getting to grips with the Building Safety Act and the implications on projects, it is reassuring to have experienced consultants in place to ensure the smooth progress through the design and construction phases."
